Measurements for Land's End and BB slim/tailored fit shirts?

Hi all,

Does anyone have measurements for these 2 shirts in a size 16?

1. Land's End slim fit / tailored shirts
2. Brooks Brothers extra slim fit

I'm mostly interested in checking the shoulder size on a size 16 collar. Pit-to-pit and waist measurements would obviously be nice as well.

Most of these slim-fit shirts seem to fit me just fine in the chest/waist but end up being too wide in the shoulders.

Thanks!

BB shoulders are narrower.

Lands' End Tailored Fit is a bit wider in the shoulders than other make's slim-fit shirts. It's sort of an athletic fit. Works great for folks like me with a trim waist and broader shoulders and chest.

Hmm... BB sounds like a better option then. Any other shirts w/ narrower shoulders that you might recommend? Having trouble finding a reply or measurements on the slim fit thread.

Reviving this thread....

BB's ESF is great and all but kind of pricey for beater shirts. Their SF is not even close to fitting me.

I am just wondering if anyone have any insight into how LE's tailored fit dress shirts measure up against BB's ESF.

Thanks in advance....

I am slim and have narrow shoulders. In addition, I like the shoulder seams on my shirts to be more "vertical" than most. I have not found the perfect shirt, I am currently trying Modern Tailor. Lands' End tailor fit shoulders are "decent" in terms of narrowness, but the "all-stars" in terms of shoulder narrowness are Express 1MX or Calvin Klein Extreme Slim Fit. Then again, Express shirt fabric is horrible and you have about 4 selections in CK Extreme Slim Fit, so that pretty much defines our problem. I have not tried BB slim fit. LE at least has nice fabrics and a lot of choices, the shoulders are decent. I find the waist pretty large, but I can take in my own shirts, so I can live with that, i.e. Lands' End tailor fit shirts are on my short list.

I too am interested in measurements/opinions on the Lands' End "Tailored Fit" dress shirts. I'm in need of some reasonably priced (college student here, so for me that's under $75) dress shirt staples (solid white, solid blue), and Lands' End seems to have just what I'm looking for in a dress shirt: 100% cotton, spread collar, no iron, exact neck and sleeve sizes, and advertised as a slimmer fit. As far as fit is concerned, I'm mainly looking for high armholes and relatively slim sleeves; I've yet to find an OTR dress shirt that doesn't have more fabric in the body than I'd prefer, so I'm resigned to the fact that I'll almost always have to take my shirts to a tailor and have the side seams taken-in, even so-called "tailored" or "slim fit" shirts. I wish the Lands' End shirts didn't have pockets, but oh well, guess no shirt is perfect.

I'm thinking about giving this Lands' End shirt a shot: http://www.landsend.com/pp/SpreadCollarTailoredSolidNoIronPinpointShir~227277_59.html?bcc=y&action=order_more&sku_0=::LBL&CM_MERCH=IDX_Men-_-DressShirtsTies-_-Regular-_-Tailored&origin=index It's cheap enough and if it doesn't work out, I can just return it at Sears. Still, before I pull the trigger, I'd be interested in hearing some opinions.

My tailored fit LE shirt is a 15.5x32/33. The shoulders measure 19.25" seam to seam. I can't provide accurate chest and waist measurements since I have already taken those in. However, as I recall, I took them in substantially - 3-4". I am 6' 158 lbs.
