au contraire. There was like 80pages debates where people checked the old moviestar record book to make sure there was a cut and dry rule for it. When they found there wasn't one, most were confused, some just used judgement and others feared what they didn't understand 3 years ago.....boat shoes and rolling pants Though i don't think i posted any rollpants fits. Would mainly just roll my jeans on occasion when hanging out in the big grass campus plazas or chilling at a friends place during the hot months. Wasn't anything "fashiony". Still isn't really. Also, my fits were generally poorer and more inconsistent. 2years ago i felt pretty comfortable dressing in different ways and understanding fit/color/proportion and am not that far from where i am now. 3 years ago not as much though i could wear simple slim bottoms slim top but was still figuring things out. Also, 2-3 years ago i really couldn't grow the mighty neckbeard you see before you today. Also, my hair was much more unruly but but for some reason florida, girlies 3-4years ago loved bad too long, unshaped curlyish hair. Go figure since 2years really won't look drastically different from my fits today i'll do 3years when i had just started posting on the forum mainly (lurked for like 2-3 months before) 3+ years ago aww. look at those brand new german army sneakers. So clean and pure. Now, over 3years later they're still alive and kicking but a lot dirtier and have been threw sweating in florida summers, florida rainstorms, a nyc snowstorm and a boston winter. My first real white sneakers still have that AA tee. The jeans were pbj that i sold because of the fit. Still have those brown gola strides. They were good investments those shoes. They can still look solid in a fit (wore it in my smiths shirt fit a few months ago) military surplus m65 was lightweight but good enoguh for florida. Henley was UO BDG. I think the jeans were probably levis 514raws. henley was bdg that i bought because it kinda looked like this apc one i really wanted but this one had such shitty material. sigh. Shoes were APC x Nike and i still have them today but i fucked them up in the snow this winter where the sole cracked a bit. I did use them to walk through 15" of snow though which was pretty stupid will post 2year later maybe

To be honest, it hasn't changed too much. Just better denim, use of a V-neck, dark socks, and less New Era.

Although for something really horrible, here's my first ever WAYWT post from my honestforum member days. . . . I know you guys will love the TR jeans and white sneakers with them:

3 years (pre weight loss) skate brand sweater, no-name baggy carrot fit jeans, sketchers



2.5 years (mid weight loss) gap, pacsun, adidas



2 years (post weight loss) boxy no-name tee, thin finns, cons (not on)



After I lost weight I did my first overhaul and with the help of mynudies I got some thin finns and started wearing plain tees, hoodies, jeans and chucks everyday. I plateaued style-wise for a year because I wore a uniform to school and lived in stupid hot country with weather that forced me into shorts and flip flops everyday. Shortly after I got to college I found SF and I've been stepping it up ever since...

also, a lot of people were relatively young 16-24 when they joined SF. That is generally the period where people start to develop that kinda hobby/interest. Bit different for guys like Berlin (who owns a clothing store so it makes more sense) and Fumma, or LA Guy. Usually young people high school age like to dress like their friends and then in college and after graduating like to grow a bit more on their own. Not to mention that with the growth of the internet and fashion on the internet, people are able to see a lot more than they were able to previously. If you didn't live in a big city before, you were in rough shape with what you could even see let alone buy (the online store landscape was bleak at best). None of these results should be surprising. I could probably pick through the users who dressed well 4 years ago and those who didn't or who just dressed ok but boring and occasionally lame. Not a big deal and i think it a bit foolish to suspect purely SF as the culprit
