I don't think I have a #1 tie, but a lot of people in L.A. apparently haven't seen knit silk ties with horizontal stripes. Whenever I wear one, everybody wants to touch it and compare the shape to a sock or a stocking. It's not that they don't like it, they just find it odd.

Most people in general find knit ties 'weird.' It's popular on this forum, but outside of here and the occasional GQ it's unheard of.

My purple paisley RL tie has gotten some really positive comments, the women seem to really dig it.

I have an "Italian Blue" (a/k/a) Royal Blue Sam Hober grenadine that always draws compliments.
