I was wondering if anyone could give me one or help me or anything?

I weigh 210 and am about 5'11. I want to get down to about 190!

Help me out people I know nothing about this type of thing.

Mainly the diet thing. I am working out now but my diet isn't that great and I don't do alot of cardio!

What does your normal diet and workout routine look like?

I've been trying to eat less than I usually have and so far I have been eating a little more healthy than normal. I drink alot though and I am in college, but I am trying to slow down on that because I want to get where I want.

I work out probably at least 5 times a week. I just do different body parts every time. we split it up by chest, back, legs, arms. We do abs every day. Most days I do a little bike because I hate running and right now I have chin splints that are limiting my running anyways. Sometimes I miss depending on my school schedule but f4-6 times a week would be pretty accurate.

Is this helpful?

Not necessarily. It could be anything from muscle atrophy to shoes.

Just build up some resistance to the running. Slowly you'll develop a tolerance to the stress.

This is a terrible workout routine if you're trying to lose weight. You need to find a routine where you burn more calories. Read one of the 8 million threads on nutrition and excercise.

If you're serious about losing weight, do this. Of course, I couldn't imagine college without alcohol either. So it's your choice: do the college thing, drink a lot and stay fat or stop drinking for awhile and get in shape.

The shoes was the reason why I got them. They weren't running shoes. Also, I drank like 5 nights a week so I am cutting it down ALOT.

Also, How am I doing it all wrong? If I work out every day, but do cardio every day as well... then what am I doing wrong? I am turning fat into muscle while burning calories right?

I always say diet is 70%, cardio 30. If you eat really clean and lift weights hard, do some cardio, you will lose weight. I hate running, so I eat very strict, I burn calories by lifting really hard, and I lose weight. Depends on your genetics though, but the cleaner you eat, the more weight you'll cut. You can eat whatever you want once a week though so I'd drink on that day, and drink hard alki with diet soda if u must.

You should not be doing abs everyday. Try seperating your lifting into primary and secondary muscle groups, like for example chest and tricepts one day and back and biceps the next. Also, try lifting every other day and do cardio in between to avoid fatigue. Keep yourself hydrated. But like the others have said, it will all come down to how you diet. You can still eat 2000+ calories and lose weight as long as the foods are lean and provide high nutrients.

Go see my 'kicks his own ass' thread. I dropped about 5 kilo in like 2 weeks....and have basically kept it off.

My exercise: Ran 5km most mornings, boxing classes twice a week, did some major muscle group lifting

My diet: cut out alcohol, soda and junk food. Wouldn't say I 'ate healthy', but I removed all obvious junk.

It's really not that hard is it?

Of note: alot is not a word.
