I'd like some inventory reports of what's in stock. With gas being what it is, I sure would hate to drive all the way to potomac or the prime outlets for nothing. Thanks in advance.

It's cool, I was late. No I'm not on the email list, but I'll get on that. PM with my addy sent.

I hear ya, but we try our best. I'm in the city and don't get out to the outlets much. Try calling early on a weekday. They might be bored enough to answer the question with some depth.

Just wanted to drop a public thanks to NoVa.

Also, I'm currently planning on heading to Leesburg this weekend, so I'll do my best to give a report after.

So nobody else got a 25% off postcard or email for Saks? In addition to the postcard I received last week I got an email from Saks last night that's good at saks.com with an entirely different code as well as an email this morning from the salesman I usually work with. So they must be pushing it pretty heavy, it looks like the only real exceptions to the sale are jewelry and shoes so if anyone's going to Saks between now and Sunday you'll definitely want to ask the sales help about getting a 25% off Friends and Family discount, just wanted to give the other DC area folks a heads up.

My thanks to noVa.

The coupon I received is for 25% off, for the record everyone. How about you other two?

It also allows me to pass it on, so JoeWoah, if you want it, PM me an email. Or I suppose you can just use the link on the last page.

I did buy 2 suits worth total about $1100 (mainline Zegna and a Canali)......I sent Joe this coupon as well since Archie didnt reply back with his email addy

I did not mean to imply anything other than that mine was for 25%. Perhaps, it is as you say. No complaint from me--it was a gift.

Well, I just got back from Leesburg. Here's my report (don't get your hopes up), with the qualification that I tend to look for what I want, so this may not be of great use to you.

Barney's: Looked pretty good. Nice looking outerwear, ties galore. Unfortunately I was looking for cotton or linen ties, or bowties, and they had none. Shoes weren't bad. They had a nice monkstrap that looks nice, though I didn't try it on.

Saks: is ****. I found one thing I even considered trying on and put it down out of frustration. I did not look at suits. No shoes. No ties. No nothing. IMO, and all that.

Brooks Brothers: Summer suits for 179 (reg 229, I think). I got a tan one that looks amazing. I think it was a great buy. They also had blue and brown seersucker. I tried the brown seersucker, but something about it just looks wrong. I already own blue. Then there was another neutral shade and a blue in cotton. The solid (non-seersuckers) seem to have a little stretch to them, fwiw. They have shoes marked down too. Some dirty suede bucks that look nice. I tried one on and it wasn't too comfortable. 199 if memory serves. Many pairs of ugly blue casula shoes. Bunches of mocs too.

And we went into Le Creuset, W-S, C&B, etc. There's always great stuff to get in these places. Actually, now that I say that, C&B was pretty sparse.

Report from P-Mills yesterday -

Saks Off 5th was picked through well - however I was able to snag a pair of brown Etro slacks and a Isaia striped shirt together for ~ 150 after 30%!

Marshalls - nothing worth mentioning

TJ Maxx - picked over - nothing

RL Polo - bought a pair of Polo brown slacks on 75% discount, but nothing else worth mentioning. They haven't updated their clearance items in over 3 weeks.

That's all I visited - hopefully some of you all did well this weekend

Thanks for detailed report! On the tan suit, was it cotton or a lightweight wool? I'm assuming it was a 346 label. Notice any 42 Ls?

It's not wool, I know that. I'll check when I get home. (I just looked at the website and don't see it there.)

As for sizes, they had a lot, I have to say. At least 20 of them hanging there, in a range of sizes. I did not however, notice a 42L in particular.

I haven't seen the suits rdawson is speaking about specifically, but generally in the past the summer suits at the outlets (esp at this time of year) are cotton blend 346 models. They're certainly serviceable, and I always consider one and never buy it.
