I had an orange with breakfast, and there's still a bit of aroma lingering. I haven't gotten any compliments yet; I refuse to wash my hands until I do.

Although, Rach did have a thing for the stinky scents. Bigarade in particular seems to have been hung with the following descriptor..."cab driver eats an orange"
In general, though...orange scents tend not to be very long-lived, due to the lightness of the oil. iirc (and I may be wrong as hell about this), the lighter scents (neroli, lemon, aldehydes) tend to burn off faster because their scents come from smaller molecules that burn off faster. By comparison - your base notes (musk, amber, etc) tend to be formed by longer-chain molecules that don't burn off nearly as quickly.

Correct on the Bigarade, but the other was Guerlain Pamplelune. Stinky grapefruit!

Thanks again for all the suggestions. I'm going to a couple of stores this weekend where I'll hopefully be able to sample some of these. Any thoughts on Creed's Zeste Mandarine Pamplemousse?

I can't help on that (I actually have a sample that I never got around to using), while you're trying Creeds, there 's also Creed Orange Spice. Not your typical fruity modern citrus. Very masculine.

Ok, but it's Grapefruit. Not very long lasting on my skin. Few citruses stick around anyway.

Yeah, try Orange Spice.

Acqua Di Parma/Blu Mediteraneo/ Arancia di Capri is a perfect citrus scent.

I found that for whatever reason (my bad sense of smell perhaps), Hermes' Pamplemousse Rose smells more like orange than the Orange Verte. To me that one smelled a bit too much like shower cleaner. I love Pamplemousse Rose but it lasts all of 10 minutes before the smell vanishes. I'm terribly disappointed considering it's supposed to be an EDC.

Yet another vote for Neroli Sauvage. Shit lasts forever (which is quite odd for a citrus), gets tons of compliments, smells good, and is a total "orangey"/summer scent.

And although not completely "orange", you may want to give Bvlgari Aqua Pour Homme a try.

Thanks for all of the recommendations, gents. I sampled a couple of the suggestions this past weekend, specifically Blu Meditteraneo Arancia, Creed Orange Spice and Creed Neroli Sauvage. Of the above, the Neroli resonated the most with me. I'm gonna have to go back and give it another run.

I tried it but it was too spicy for what I was going for. The Neroli was more fresh.
