nope, Manton's dining room. It was literally 2 hours of discussing that single wine.

I've always preferred room temp for most things, and have never minded a great white at room temp. I just taste more things, although on the cooler side can enhance a sweeter character.

Thanks a lot guys I appreciate your help/advice. If this Silex is good, I'm going to buy the rest of the stock because the price was quite good. They also have '03.

FTFY.

Sorry M, that was too good to pass up. I'd drink wine in your bunker any time you invite me though.

Out of curiosity, what kind of prices have you guys paid for the 750ml?

I think we paid $115 for the '04 Silex.

I got mine for 98 minus shipping which brings it exactly to your total. What kind of lifespan does this wine have?

Well, having only had it that one time I can only make a wild guess. It seemed perfectly mature, in that there was no harshness or tightness at all. Perfectly integrated tannins. I wonder what it had been like at age three. I could not guess if it had more to show with more years. I would speculate that it had another ten years at least in the state it was in. Probably would have darkened in color and the woody notes become more prominent.
