i saw those beaded lanvins at neiman marcus. i appreciate them (but not their $1,200 price tag!) although i cannot pull those off. very elton john.

lol. actually im willing to admit that lanvin (like every single other brand that exists) is capable of producing failures. i think those red ones that jdmay posted above are atrocious. i dont like most of the ones from that season at all. this season has quite a few abominations as well...however that sequin one definitely isnt one of them. it has so many different textures on it its amazing.

i saw those before on a website or a magazine or something. the top ones have interesting colors. i dont like the fact that they are made of neoprene though. i would pay 200 for them max.

i dont like the red wrinkled patent stuff. it looks really cheap. there are some all black ones with a similar material appearing pretty often on ebay now with the same material. it kills it for me. i really dislike the old sole as well. the captoe and heel are nice but they would look a lot better if the whole shoe was white/grey instead. there are SOO many way nicer models though that there is no point in wasting your time/money on those. did yours arrive yet? i know those will be really nice because they are subtle and will work with almost anything. you will eventually need some really sick hi tops though. most of the stuff on ebay sucks.

they look cool in pictures. ive never seen them on a person's foot though. it would really restrict the types of socks you can wear. honestly i think it would look good with black or grey socks and thats about it. i wouldnt shell out the money for mesh lanvins personally because they arent super versatile. i tend to see those pretty often being resold, probably because their original owners realized the same thing i could see you wearing something like this

Yeah I would grab some his but I really don't like what's out this season, aside from the ones someone here grabbed with the navy suede / magenta, and I don't love those I just like them. Really don't like any of the beaded ones. The ones I posted earlier with the copper toe were okay but the copper is maybe a bit much and the gum sole isn't ideal. Your his are nice, would probably grab those in my size.

Those in black were actually on sale at Yoox a week or so ago in several sizes too, it went pretty quick though.

Dunno man. I'm usually a 12, 45 in CP, so I bought 11s in those lows. They might end up being a half size too big for me.

that's interesting. my raf's have been stuck in spain for almost the same amount of time. i think the volcano fucked all our **** up.
