Oh my god how did this thread go to shit so fast. Does anyone else feel like these sneakers were a good idea with bad execution? The laced backs look pretty ballin' imo, but the shape of them just looks... horribly horribly wrong
The ones KVA did for his own line recently have been pretty bad imo. There's a gold pair in B&S which I would love in white. I don't like how he does the little name ornament on the back though, looks contrived as hell. I'd probably try to break it off. These look pretty slick too. Thoughts on Generic Man? They share the cp vibe. I'm giving these a shot. No tron steez.
I have some Penguin sneakers that I like (because there is a gold penguin on the side). Literally I bought them for the penguin. They are pretty hip looking though beyond that little detail. Otherwise I have a converse pair with velcro straps, and a pair of other shoes with velcro straps. Im going to personally bring back velcro, hell they sell velcro shoes in stores now. Back when I started wearing them a few years ago I could only find them online.

There has been some skepticism hereabouts on the quality of GM but for my money they are every bit as good as my CPs, I've owned 2 pairs of GM and 3 CPs. It's just a matter of finding a GM model that works. The sportsman you pictured is great (I'm selling a pair in black caviar leather). Sportsman lows' the toebox is fatter than CP achilles.
for me: jeans: $125 normally/would spend up to $250 in an exceptional situation t-shirts: $5 hanes/uniqlo etc/$40 button downs: $50/$100 sweaters: $100/$240 outerwear: $250/$600 pants: $50/$120 sneakers: $150/$150.. i've copped cp margiela visvim at this price so i dont really see why i should go much higher dress shoes: $150/$300 suit: $400/$600 this thread makes me feel like such a pleb but actually thinking about it, i feel like my standards are pretty reasonable. i only buy shit if i know i can make a profit or if its dirt cheap
