id rather not own something than own a knock off version of it.

Trademark infringement only applies if Lanvin can prove that their shoes hold "inherent distinctiveness" ... Lego shoes do that; Lanvin hi-tops, not so much. Plus, I doubt they're losing enough money for a large lawsuit to be better It is kind of bullshit though

I thought as long as the trademark logo(s) wasn't copied the knockoffs weren't breaking the trademark protection. Either way, they should be ashamed for ripping off others design for profit.

Maybe we should email Daniele Alessandrini and see what kind of response we get :P Its kinda sad because they seem like a legitimate operation from their site, maybe all their shit is copied from somewhere else though.

Yeah you should. Dont know much their lines, but does look like they do a lot of copying - especially from Lanvin.

Fast fashion such as Zara and H&M does that all the time.

there are other things a company can sue for though. for example, since both companies are direct competitors (in this case making "luxury" sneakers), and lanvin spends a lot of money on research/design which others then simply steal, they may have some basis for a lawsuit i believe.

It's hard for copyright infringement lawsuits to go though in international settings. Usually not worth the time and money involved. Both countries legal systems these companies are in would have to work in unison.

I don't like fakes in general. watches, clothes, dvds, etc. it's bad for the economy

I disagree. I think the people that buy 15 dollar LV handbags aren't the same people that drop on 800 dollar sneakers. Also people copy alot in fashion, if we all haven't noticed yet. Look at how many brands copied GATs. There was a really good TED talk about this.
