Pulled all my shoes out today to do a bit of an overall clean-up and sort out our spare room which is being turned into a Nursery (from essentially a wardrobe for the wife and I. It wasn't until I pulled all of the boxes and shoes out that I realised how many I actually had - so I thought i'd take a quick picture. Missing from the picture are a couple pairs of Loakes for rare occasions where I suit up.
Favourite Brands: CP, MMM, Lanvin, Buttero
Most Favourite: Lanvin (Incredible sneakers, but I find it difficult to fit them in)
Least Favourite: Sebago's (donated them today)
Most Worn: CP (6 pairs here and another 2 which fell apart - Tournament Low's)
Least Worn: Grenson (I prefer to wear sneakers for the most part)
Best Quality: Lanvin/MMM (pretty evident when you handle/wear them)
Most Disappointed: Buttero (awesome but they squeak due to poorly thought out insoles)
Most Comfortable: MMM (like pillows)
Least Comfortable: Buttero (a little harder wearing than CP's)
Most Expensive: Alden
If I had my time again, i'd keep all the CP's, MMM, Lanvin for sneakers and everything else would be Alden aside from dress shoes.
Clearly a large rotation but I box all my shoes after a day to air and I never wear the same pair 2 days in a row, so they look new.
I totally agree with you. I wanted to love my buttero shoes. But they are uncomfortable and take awhile to be broken in.
Favorite: Lanvin's (They are comfortable and look great.)
Best Value: MMM (These get better with time) retains value if you want to sell it later on ebay.
Least Favorite: Buttero.
