What is the word here on Daniele Alessandrini fake Lanvin rip-offs? Are they legit? Cost around $230, non sale price and look nice, though not in my size/colors.

Well - this is just my observation - but their prices are actually quite fine, and even if there is a store online that's $50 cheaper, the cost of posting to Australia is at least that for something as bulky as most sneakers. So unless there's a sale I don't actually think that many people here would be finding a better price.

Additionally, and this may only be a local thing, Australians seem MUCH more hesitant to buy shoes online - any of the people I've talked to about online shopping (excepting people who are members here) flat out refuse to buy shoes online due to fitting concerns. Given that if we need to return an item for re-sizing we're out $50+ to ship it back, and $50+ for the new size, a little bit more actually is a pretty nice piece of mind.

(I've easily doubled the cost of items like pants because the sizes weren't quite right and shipping is expensive)

It's $1000 threshold before tax applies, just FWIW.

Also: just to add fuel to the discussion, I find it very difficult to imagine how an item online looks on me IRL - I realise that many people are much better than this than I am - but I can't work out if things are too big, too small, flattering, unflattering very easily (with streetwear much more than MC for work). Seeing items like, for example, KVA icarus shoes made me realise that they just weren't going to work for me in the way I expected from looking at pictures online, etc.

There's value in that certainty - I waste way too much time and money on gambles, sometimes knowing is just superior and for some of us it's easier to find that looking at things in the flesh.

So how about for you Australians discovering Indonesian streetwear? It is close to home, so shipping back and forth might not be that big of an issue.

i would advice so spend the extra bucks on Lanvins, because they're really worth it.
and they've got that little extra luxurious look DA doesn't have.

only if you really need that color i would go for DA, but otherwise i wont

btw, the patent leather part is a little bit shorter than on lanvins, thats how i see the difference in the streets

I suppose that makes me an idiot. Nevertheless, those are still bobos, regardless of what they are made of.

Can anyone recommend where to get good replacement laces for Lanvin cap toes? I was just at the boutique in Beverly Hills and they said they'd be $25 and take three weeks to order form Paris. I mean you don't have a few extra pairs of laces laying around here somewhere... srsly?

They probably made up Paris and the three-week delay so you wouldn't object to spending $25 on shoe laces.

Wonder why it would take three weeks to ship a tiny pair of laces to the US lol?
I'm guessing that might be your best option though; not many people will be selling only the laces online.

May the force be with you!

^ hell if I know... that's why I was thinking "what the fuck are you talking about?" But they don't need to be "Lanvin" laces... I'm sure there are similar laces that are indistinguishable or perhaps whoever makes the regular laces that Lanvin probably gets them from anyway. Any pointers are appreciated. Thx!

What color? Here are the two options I found. I didn't contact the ebay seller but he might be able to do colors other then white. The second appears to only be available in black, but ask and you might get lucky.

thank you Stackson... I'll take a look. So just for the record they're dark navy blue (with the plum/dark purple cap toes) and dark navy matching laces.
