^ That's completely different. They ARE a business and they're not actively posting on this forum associating with one another like we're all internet pals. Come on now, that was a horrible comparison

This forum has a culture of allowing people to flip items for a profit. The MC forum does it more commonly, some people on there actually make a reasonably side-income from their clothes-selling business. On SW&D the culture is somewhat different, people generally just sell their stuff when they're done with it or if it doesn't fit, so there is less profit motive and more hobbyist motive. Clothing as hobby has a community aspect so when people are essentially just trying to make a buck it kind of pisses people off. I can understand that, but SF B&S being what it is there's nothing verboten about it and so, excepting pink attolini tie debacles and the like, no real cause for finger-pointing.

On the skiing forum I moderate, flipping items you got on sale for a profit gets you banned immediately and permanently.

it honestly doesnt matter dmash ... if you dont like the price then you dont need to buy them. its not fair for you to get upset because someone priced their cps above what yoox prices.

^Nope, just a different culture. It's a privately run forum and we don't want people using it to make a profit by shilling goods. The buy/sell/trade is there to hook up fellow members with gear who may need it. We've all benefited from it at some point or another so it's kind of a "pay it forward" mindset. TGR is much the same.

Also dmash if you wanted to flame whatever123 all you had to do was post a link to that sunglasses thread.

^This. I know on some other forums I'm part of, every member would **** a brick if some dude was trying to pull **** at a 150% markup. Again, I guess were just a closer knit community on those forums. This really makes me look at SF in a negative light. Especially when dudes defend it. Lol and considering the fact that I posted the CP hookup the minute it was posted on Yoox so most dudes got their sizing before they sold out. Hahaha geeeeeeeez. and yeah, I was seriously going to post the 'sunnies' thread for Whatever's enjoyment hahaha.

Speaking of which, finish posting your stuff to your current sales thread. What sort of Ervell and Jil stuff you got in the queue?

I'm really having a hard time understanding the fact that other people look at someone flipping something they bought for a profit in a negative light. You all know examples of iPhones, video games, video systems etc. that people camp out for and instantly flip them. You snooze you lose.
Right, but if I was selling something to a family member or a friend I wouldn't be trying to fleece them for a buck. Same kind of principle extended to a forum community. Does it make sense on this forum? Maybe maybe not, depends on who you ask.

It's really not IMO. If my buddy was doing that to another one of my friends, I would definitely be having words with him and be offended. EDIT: AR beat me to it. Exactly, we all post a lot about baller sneakers and I sort of consider us a forum community.
