this has to be tongue-in-cheek.

if it isn't then you should re-read what you wrote and have a think about it.

If anyone sees a KVA zip sneaker in 43, they should let me know...

man what are you talking about? washington dc doesnt even have a barneys, much less any store that sells MMM shoes. there are two stores that sell lanvin. one is a ghetto store that averages 95% garbage shoes, the other is nieman marcus which just sucks in general and only orders the models that interest hip hop dudes; ie none that I like.

im just surprised that a terrible actor like jason statham will go through the trouble of locating an MMM store (or a barneys ny i guess for the few models they get) to buy a shoe that is relatively "plain" to the untrained eye. obviously his taste in the other parts of his wardrobe are lacking. unlike, for example, robert downey jr who seems to have an idea what he is doing.

this is the more likely scenario. but given the terrible performance of all of his crappy movies in the theatres, i don't seem him as one of the types who has a personal shopper/assistant for all parts of his life.

i got them from the MMM store on rue montpensier. printemps had them as well (for 40% off too) but they didnt have my size. apparently the MMM store never puts the classics (black and white highs and lows) on sale.

I get where you are coming from. i need to look at a better way of lacing them. haven't had much time to play around with them.

i can list a million actors in a million bad movies that still have publicists, stylists, etc. it's pretty much an accessory of their celebrity status.

This isn't the first time a stylist has been suspected behind some celebrity wearing a nice item. The arrogance would be amusing if it weren't mildly tragic. You really think mmm is some obscure artifact of the underground fashion world, huh.

I wouldn't be surprised if Statham knew who Martin Margiela was before sq4 could ride his bike without the little side wheels
post #1928 of 23558
sidewheels were MMM 11 collection though

I agree man, really, he's a bad actor. HOWEVER he has parlayed a bald head, a six pack, and an English accent into a successful career as an action movie star, so he can't be all that dumb.

Maybe he's one of those people with several diverse interests. Given that a high-end fashion hobby is one part perception, one part knowledge, and one part cash flow, it doesn't seem improbable for a successful man (with little to occupy him intellectually, probably) to cultivate an appreciation of the works of Margiela, Dries, Junya, etc. Statham could probably wear the shit out of some gothninja stuff.

let's see...... martin margiela started his line in 1989 and his mens line only started like 10 years later. that puts us around year 2000 by that time i was already 18..... jason statham's first remotely known movie was lock stock smoking barrels in like 1998. i doubt he went straight to barneys with his first big paycheck. soooo, im gonna venture you are wrong.

given he doesnt even have runway shows for his mens collections....yes, id say its remotely underground in comparison

I'm just yanking your chain...

That said, read my statement - you seem to have read it incorrectly. When I first saw Margiela and his collections, it sounds like you were about 8 or 9 years old so my statement was not too far off.

I obtained some shiny shoes yesterday . . . cp patents, not for everybody.

I was going to post these in RP but decided to drop them here instead.
