The suede version suckes balls, might just be thhe pics but the black ones with different materials looks better. Again, might just be the pic, got to see it in person.

Those canvas ones are killer in person. Not sure why I like SLP so much right now. I just think its all very wearable. Looks simple. Clean. Luxe and casual without being so hey look at me. Feeling the same way about SLP as Regis feels about margela

This applies to almost any brand as long as you only shop at mrporter

I actually haven't bought anything from any of the online shops. All the stuff I've picked up minus the shoes I've only seen in the store. Most of the online stuff is whatever but there are tons of really cool pieces in store. Silk vintage t shirts, clean button downs. Even the 19cm jeans.

you're spending thousands of dollars to look like you shop at topshop

even those sneakers look like an h&m collab or something

To be fair, I haven't personally spent more on this stuff than one would on geller clothes or common projects sneakers, and that's a valid observation, but even If I were spending thousands, I think the design, simplicity and cut of the clothes compliment my body and where i'm at style wise which is a less is more approach. Maybe it's a cult of hedi sort of thing, and i'm drinking the kool aid, but i'm just happy to be buying clothes i feel comfortable in and wearing every day which is more than I can say about all the boris, rick, ma+ and others i've spent way more on and gotten way less out of.

some of it does nothing for me, but there is a shop near my office that carries SLP and I tried on a gray mohair suit and it was quite good. The jacket length was right too, which stunned me given that a lot of the online stock seems to be extremely cropped. The price was not insane either, given what the other stuff goes for. Must size up.

I did not like their 19 cm cut denim. Looks huge. I have been thinking about the grey 16cm cut that is on ssense, but will probably spend money elsewhere. Would probably look like leggings on fat old DLester.

Yeah, everyone complains about the cropped cuts but I don't think they have actually tried on or seen the clothes in person. I'm 5'11 and have gained a bit of weight recently which made me re-evaluate some of my purchases. Ironic that I would try out SLP but the cuts are not as stick thin as everyone is making it out to be and the length is just fine for me. the t shirts and button down's that ive gotten are slim fitted but have a lot of movement to them. they almost hang over you rather than hug your body. the jeans are a little weird, I actually think the hem measurements (15.5, 16, 17.5 and 19cm) are innacurate and misleading, probably something people started assuming or comparing to dior. If you go to the boutiques, youll notice they dont go by cm measurements but by ST (Straight Leg), SK (Skinny) and SL (Slim) and I think each of these has a slightly different cut (D01, D02, D03).
