I'm actually back in SF for the summer and was at bloomingdales today. But I agree, there's no mens clothing at SCP, or OC in general.

If you are searching for sneakers that actually meet the definition of baller a pair of the Raf Simons fall-winter 2005 black high tops are on Ebay:

And these are quite rare. Outside of one or two YJP auctions and my pair (biggrin.gif) this is the first time I've seen them for sale.

I'm like wtf... do they LOOK like fucking Nike's? lol8[1].gif

I see someone in Lanvin cap toes at least 3-4 times a week in LA. I also see the Arenas quite frequently.

the balenciaga folks were nice. I asked if they had menswear and they were kind and patted me on my head and sent me on my way. just girl bags there.

That Balenciaga store actually carried Men's sneakers for the last few seasons. Small pairs and not all sizes and they'd store them in the back. They've been trying to get the menswear in there for a while though, would be cool if they could because I agree, that place is a wasteland for menswear.

Stocking Alexanderwangciaga does not fix a menswear wasteland.

I'm sure you're more accurate than I am... my lack of exposure probably says more about the amount of work I'm doing and my lack of time to go out and chill in cool parts of town... although sometimes even in some "cool" parts of town I'm often surprised by how un-cool people are dressed! happy.gif

Saw some guy in Lanvins once in the Guy & Gallard at 34th and Madison in NYC. Also some guy in CP Achilles in Williamsburg. Other than that, didn't see anyone.

I wore my MMM gats once and some guy said nice shoes. He was wearing 99 metallic jordan 5s though

In all fairness to balenciaga, wang hasn't even technically started designing yet. Try back next year.

Saw a ton of baller sneakers today but I was on rodeo.

I go to NYC every few months and I always see dudes in lanvin captoes and louboutins. Not sure why dudes want to wear sneakers with gold spikes on them.
Seen Achilles, MMM Gats, RO Dunks, Arenas, Lanvins, Yeezy 1 & 2, Prada Creepers (sneaker sole count?), and some Loubs "out in the wild". Probs more that I forgot to list.
Silicon Valley is a wasteland for clothes in general, much less baller sneaks. I've seen 1 pair of Ricks and 1 pair of Loubs in SF before. That's it (if you don't count Styleforum members).

SF isn't really SV; it's actually markedly better than most of it. For ultimate proof, just visit the Googleplex or eBay's HQ.

Loubs spiked loafers are pretty sick. I saw the black suede/black studs a while back and looked sick. Really wished I didn't passed on them, not sold on any other color/material and sneakers look awful.
