On a similar note, I called the NYC store recently and it went straight to hold with a message saying, "We apologize, but we're experiencing especially large call volume now" or something similar. The man is such a maniac it's almost cool.

I don´t understand how he could fuck up sneakers so much. Previous seasons YSL models looked way nicer. My white strap hightops are probably my favorite sneakers, and there´s no comparison to the new ones.

Lionheart, I didn't buy anything. The entire experience turned me off from even supporting YSL at all. 

 

I shouldn't be surprised considering all of Hedi's recent drama with Cathy Horyn and YSL not cooperating with the press in regards to their recent changes, but i'm a sucker for clever design gimmicks and just really wanted to see what the house was offering as it was the first time that they had anything that interested me. 

That being said, I've never experienced anything like this at any of the other design houses or boutiques. Even Hermes will pull out stuff they are not authorized to sell for one to see and put their name down on a waiting list. 

 

Anyway, I still think the low's look cool but the tongue on those high's make them look like cheap cleats and I would much rather support many of the other offerings currently available. Although, if Hedi reads this, he can make it better by sending me the entire collection and put me in a lookbook :)
