Neither. But it's also padded, which does make them marginally more comfortable.

I don't know if they are honestly going to keep your feet much warmer. Yea they're leather, but it's not really thick leather. Comes down more to the socks you wear than anything else.

I wear wool socks. frown.gif

smartwool phd light weight running socks.

When I wear my nike frees I don't have the cold toe problem.

of course they'll keep your feet warmer it's leather that's why canvas shoes are more comfortable in the summer
