YSL "marine sneaker' is from SS07...MMM "strappo" is from SS08; i got both in fall 08 on sale.... i love the YSL to death and it is very, very original (haven't seen anybody with them ever).. the all black dicks are actually milk/black SS08 dicks that I dyed all black......lol...cost me $20 for the dyes/applicators and i did it myself... i was actually done with sneakers after i bought the first dicks, but then saw the distressed leather dicks in black/milk and really, just had to get it i'm searching for a fw07 or ss08 lanvin's (highs, no straps, taupe color) and i think i'll be done....

Lovin' them all, YSL's especially cause sometimes they don't get enough love.

Probably the best small collection photo i've seen in this thread. Great shit. All 4. Nice work on the diy job

^ I want both those Rick colorways so bad... Do they end up usually on sale and at what price? $1200+ retail is crazy...

Can sometimes find them used on sf, sufu, sz for like $600 i think. The hype was really big a year or two ago, then died down for like 6months and during that 6month period where they became old news i was seeing them for like $400-500, but it seems in the past 6month the hype has come back so probably 2nd hand going rate is more now

Yeah, duties aren't there for the government to rape you as much as it is to discourage you from buying abroad instead of buying from local shops. I still hate it but there's a good reason for it. Some countries are pretty terrible about it though (looking at you, Korea).

thanks for the compliments guys....though i was contemplating selling my MMMs, but i think i'll keep them afterall

i will say, if you like a high end designer sneaker, it's best to suck it up and buy it, cause you never know if they'll make it again or make it with the same materials e.t.c.

i've not seen that YSL anywhere, Dick has changed the leather and constructions on his kicks now; who knows when the MMM will change (mine has leather + suede)...

there's a couple of Lanvin's from 07 i slipped on and now it looks like lanvin's designs (for sneakers) are going downhill....i'll never be able to get those again

dior homme is even worse....one particular pair i liked back in 06/07 is not made anymore and dior homme kicks are now all garbage

Totally agree with this.

I really can't get over the new Lanvin sole as much as I like a few of the new designs. I really liked the Rick chuck a likes that I saw that didn't really get picked up too much as well as Ann deem chuck a likes which are everywhere.

A very well curated collection.

I'm a bit curious on something, one of the earlier complaints in the beginning of this thread is how big the mid-sole of the Lanvins and their new soles but the ROs, DBSS and Ann D sneakers I've seen all have a pretty thick mid-sole, a lot thicker and bulkier that Lanvins, yet it is loved so much. It's probably the overall design than anything that is why it is liked so much though.

I just think that the new sole looks way too chunky and far out of place on the current line. Like some of the new colourways but not enough to counter act the lameness of that sole.

I think the midsole on the RO and Ann D are much more chunkier compared to Lanvins though. Maybe it's just me?

Anywho, quick fit pics of the Lanvins lows, fit pcis of the hi's later.
