how do you guys take care of your sneakers? do you use shoe trees at all? just seems like some of the nicer shoes are made of leather, which would distort similarly to dress shoes.

i wear them to the ocean and salt water wash them, drying them in the sun after and applying obenaufs every 5 hours

Those shoes don't look good until they get a little dirty anyway. They look weird all clean.

I want to buy some baller sneakers, but the thing is every shoe ive ever owned has had the back (on the inside) destroyed. my heel bone protrudes more than the avg person i guess, and it always causes a rip/hole in the shoe in the back. how can i prevent this?? =[ i know if i buy a nice pair of shoes and just wear them this will eventually happen again, which is why im not going to buy any until i can fix this problem. is there some special padding i can put in the back? shog[1].gif

Same thing usually happens to my shoes as well, just do as I and buy several pairs. That way it will at least take a bit longer before it happens biggrin.gif

I could be wrong, but I suspect that the "insole" suggestion was to help the shoe fit you, given that the suggestion was that you should try going up half a size.

Half a size up means more room in the heel but also means more room elsewhere. Insole helps to fill up the room elsewhere but still leaves additional room for your heel, thus hopefully cutting down on wear in that area.

Shouldn't you consult a specialist and ask what your options are? That's if you haven't done so.
