Speaking of "og paint," the beige base painted GATs are back on Yoox right now. Size 9/42 is the only size available on the Canadian site. Oh how I wish they were the grey base.

I already have the beige and I think the grey looks better. I have never seen the grey in real life though so maybe I would change my mind.

I think Diesel bought them in 2002 and Margiela left in 2009 which was around when the highs released (I think - didn't check dates).

Sort of a general question for you...how does CPs Achilles compare to MMM GATs? I'm a big MMM GAT fan but hear how much everyone loves their CPs so was thinking about checking out some black suede Achilles I saw on Mr Porter. I see the CPs run larger, but how about fit, styling, etc. I haven't seen them more than once or twice in person and have yet to try them on.

i havent had cp achilles but i have/had some rafs on the same sole (not vandals-those run more narrow like the bball --think velcro and laced up rafs)

theyre wider than the mmm and run a bit larger.

ill let someone with more CP experience chime in

Same here, 44 Achilles = 45 GATs.

Width felt the same to me, the CP certainly weren't wider.
