Not a big fan of the painted GATs. Maybe because I'm a painter or it might be that the whites look stained with semen.

And the reds are reminiscent of a used tampon.

I like the blues, the blacks, and the silver/greys however. The gold ones are kind cool too.

I kinda agree... I didn't like my beige base/white paint gats at first but wearing them with dark jeans, they do look damn good. I think I'd prefer the white base/white paint over anything in terms of versatility.

Bought a cheap light box and took some sample shots. Turned out well I think.

Just found some silver painted GATs half price. I remember someone mentioning before that the silvers are "too theatrical," but I love GATs and they look cool in the pictures. Does anyone have fit pics with them?

Mossy, are you talking about the silvers or the greys? It's hard to tell with the silvers depending on how metallic they'll be. Here's a shot with the whites (greys would look similar just dirtier)

yea I know the painted whites on grey base look great, wish I could find those on sale :/

the ones I found on sale are definitely silver. and yes, it is hard to tell in the pictures just how metallic the paint is.

so those lanvins i posted earlier I bought from Farfetch. The boutique shipped them to me via DHL from italy. They arrived in 2 days. That was last week. Today, I got a bill from DHL for $181, a 37% customs fee. WTF!!!! This is on top of the 480 that I paid for the shoes, and 35 for the shipping. Great. Is there anything I can do? Why does Farfetch not tell you that you'll have to pay an extra 200 in customs fees?????
