Unworn retro black DBSS (I think they were size 2) were on SuFu for $450 (maybe $400). I think they just sold last week after the dude had them up for a month.

The black ones would look pretty nice beat up but still like the retros better.

So you basically have never seen the shoe or at least dunno how it wears and have no idea about its construction. The problem with this is that your shitty opinion joins thousands of other shitty ones and makes separating the wheat from the chaff on the site an ordeal.

again, im going by complaints of them from past iterations. There are numerous pics online of people selling used rick sneakers that look like they've been through nuclear holocaust. That was because of the staples issue, though. However, judging by the fact that I constantly read about complaints about RO footwear in general I've grown to distrust the quality of it in general, and am just expressing my viewpoint based upon other peoples experiences. They indulge in the footwear department way more than I would so I use this to determine whether or not I should ever buy a pair. Shit, I don't need to be a proper judge of anything when my rick cardigans are tearing apart after 3 days of wear. Maybe the sneakers are an improvement now that the staple is removed, but quality wise I doubt its that high despite this. Anyways, carry on with your borderline appeal to authority.

First pair that qualify me for this thread, not counting Y3's that I would be embarrassed to show, having read through...

The mark on the front of the sole is from wearing them half a dozen times but they looked slightly dishevelled new, I'm not into the super shiny look. Opinions?

So you basically repeat what you read on the internet (in here) creating a nice echo chamber of bullshit, great! See, forum problem n.1 right there.

nope, I am taking it mostly from peoples complaints in the RO sneaker thread on SZ, and yahoo auction pictures ive seen of used RO sneakers. Probably like two people own RO sneakers in this site. I'm going by complaints + picture evidence from many sources...are we now arguing whether or not RO sneakers are notorious for having issues? Also, i'm not trying to be a hater I really like the design of the shoes, but ive been put off by the many complaints from owners. I don't see how this isnt a good way to determine whether something is generally bad quality.

I just googled Brato, they look cool. Mine are a Swiss make called Navyboot. Never seen them outside Switzerland but you can't walk 50 metres down a high street over here without goning past one of their shops.
I think these actually cost me the equivalent of about $285, so they shouldn't technically be here but if the exchange rate moves back again...

oh yeah i shouldve been more clear, giorgio brato. heh, its kinda like hogan. ive never seen more hogan sneakers than the time i was in italy. it was almost as if it was a part of the uniform there: polo, shorts, hogan, rolex edit: damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn /southern slang (no racism) http://www1.yoox.com/item/YOOX/GIULI...F/sts/sr_men80

DBSS is actually really cool outside of the sneakers, and actually their sneakers don't mesh well with most of what they do IMO
