This is how google makes money in their "free" gmail, except you only see a single line of advertisement at the top of the page linking you to everything you've ever queried in their search engine or received in your gmail through ebay/paypal or esty messages. Companies and universities pay a lot of dough to protect their people and computational systems from interfering ads and links.
