My official Panta information/sales thread (updated availability 5/31)

Hello everyone, so I have started a Made in NY clothing line. My goal was twofold, to make a product that was comparable in quality and (ebay/street) prices to the top makers that we discuss here, and to have the production be local as NY has great clothing manufacturers. I am involved in pretty much everything short of the sewing and cutting. I design the patterns, source the cloth and trimmings and work very closely with the factories to make sure the product that is put is exactly what I want. I've spent the last 9 months of so working on this and now am finally putting some products out. First are my pants. Their are English fabrics from Huddersfield, fabrics from Scotland and the Italian fabrics are from Zegna and Loro Piana. The buttons are French horn, the best and most expensive horn buttons on the market. The waistband and pocketing is from 2 ply Italian shirting fabric. The thread used for the sewing is Gutterman and as you can see from the pics, there is a lot of handstitching/tacking (waistband, fly, pockets, seam). All pants come with two spare buttons and fabric/tape to be used as a heelguard. I am using the same manufacturers for my line that brands such as Thom Browne, Band of Outsiders, Massimo Bizzochi, Brooks Brothers and Engineered Garments, among others, have used. A few forum members have recieved pants and their comments to me have been quite positive (thanks guys for being first adopters!). There will eventually be two cuts (slim and classic), right now I am only selling the slim cut. Some features of this cut are a lower back rise than most RTW, a single right back pocket, a two button internal fastening, a trim thigh and calf so that excess fabric isn't flapping about and a leg opening measurement that stays the same from about a 29 inch inseam on down. In other words, a RTW pant which has a 8 inch opening, when you take up the inseam a few inches and hem them, the opening could now be 8 1/2 or 9 inches. Mine stays the same after hemming. The waist are exact, not vanity sized.

Aside from the pants, I should have some unlined, hand rolled 7 fold ties shortly and designing two other interesting items over the next few weeks. I am also working on a website which feature expanded sizing on the pants (28-38) and will make shopping for these products easily, we will take all major credit cards along with paypal. Until then, I will offer the pants and ties in this thread, at a discounted price from what will be on the website. The pants here will be $199-$249, ties will be $109-129. I have some pants left from the initial run, will be adding a few more (Zegna cotton/cashmere fabric khaki, s120's air force blue wool, s120's "air force brown") tomorrow/Tuesday followed by some more greys and some cotton/linens in about 2 weeks. You can email me at contact@pantaclothing.com and I will notify you as soon as the site is up.

Fantastic looking pants. If they had side adjusters, I would have thought you read my mind on exactly what I wanted in a custom dress pant.

Gorgeous pants Ed! I can't wait for the 28 waist to be come available, as well as the longer inseam (it sucks being lanky)

ps. Thank you for not vanity sizing.

I'll be first in line for a medium grey wool in a 30 when those come in.

Nice. I'll wait for the fat guy sizes with side tabs...

These are really amazing. I'm on for a pair or two once I get out from under this ridiculous tax bill - State of Idaho and the IRS:

They look great, Ed. Seems like an exciting and likely successful venture. Best of luck. Definitely interested in the expanded line and the eventual website. Keep me posted.
