I don't have any good oxxford db shots. Also, now that it's real spring weather, it's too dammed hot to wear it, even w/o the waistcoat.

I was leaving in the ss madras shot for a more "casual" look. But I guess the seersucker does that too.

Will advise. I appreciate the groupthink at work.

Updated first post with the new shots. I felt that listing styleforum WAYWRN regulars under "countless unnamed others" would have been a bit too bukkake. Or it would have gotten me immediately disqualified.

Good Luck Lufty!

Being the only contestant with a coat hook surgically implanted in your bladeshoulder gives you an edge on the field.

I'd roll with it.

nice. but why is the elbow patch way up on your upper arm in one of the photos? shouldnt it be from the elbow to midway through your forearm?

I was asking myself the same question...

Is it just the position of his elbow when the picture was taken or is it a fashion statement?

It's a little bit positioning, a little bit that the patches are too high on the elbows. I'd pay to have them moved, but the jacket was free and the issue is rarely noticed, except to me and SF.

I'll post a new WAYWRN mit der Jacke, only for you. I'll be certain to be drinking a beer and eating a pretzel in the photo as well.

I'd roll with it.

I was debating between the Rubinacci and Steed surgical coat hooks - I went with the Rubinacci, at 's behest.

Tobacco is a divisive vice. And pipes ever more so. Though green trou may be a-ok in the eyes of Esquire editors, I feel that the pipe might elevate my submissions to the level of pith-helmet-dom.

Pipe smoking is in my mind linked to sailors and history teachers..

If you can make it sultry and interesting , you will get many votes...

^ Lufty has the history teacher archetype down pat but as to the sailor aesthetic, the Village People will never make a comeback if he starts stealing from their wardrobe

Wasn't aware John Hodgman posted here, nor that he is a clothing hobbyist.
