Dear readers,

Today my GF and I celebrate our three year, 4 months and 27 day anniversery! I've nothing romantic planned for tonight and no presents either....

Thus I need to rent a romantic comedy for tonight* as to make up for all that.

Please, post your suggestions here.

I liked "The Mexican" and "Down With Love".

Actually, "Down With Love" was widely (unduly) panned, but it's also a pretty "stylish" film, and IMO endlessly inventive. I say go for that.

Take her out to "Date Night" with Steve Carrel (the Office) and Tina Fey (30 Rock). Is that out in Europe yet? It is getting very good reviews in the US. Looks fucking hilarious too.

Surgeon Generals Warning: So funny in fact, a blowjob in a dark theater could be very dangerous to your cock. During unexpectedly funny scenes she might bite it or swallow it.

Love Actually always goes over well, and is pretty watchable. Ditto Four Weddings and a Funeral from the same stable.

And if the night isn't going well, at least in Love Actually you get to see some boobies.

Am I missing something here, is this just simple irony or is there a meaning behind this?

In the end we had guests. After that we watched the second half of The Bourne Identity.

One can guess at the romance that will ensue after this post...

Thanks for your efforts. I'll take your suggestions to heart for another night.
