Hi,

I needed a new trimmer to use a shaver but not sure which one to buy.
I want it to cut similar to this product i found,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...2YAD03SRTF9A2V

but it is too expensive and want something cheaper.

I found this this one but not sure if it will produce a simialr outcome.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0012GJG8...SIN=B0012GJG8I

Or, it would be great if you can help find me something better for less.

Help would be very greatful.

Thanks.

I got that rechargeable Wahl trimmer. As far as cordless goes, it's top notch. Lithium-ion battery is way more powerful then I have seen from the likes of Norelco, etc. But you also can't go wrong with a corded Wahl. I used a corded Wahl clipper for cutting my hair. It's a solid tool.

OK, but, i wanted to know if they produce similar outcomes when shaving, does the outcome, on the Lithium-ion battery have a massive difference between the deulxe gromming kit when using them, or is it worth buying the first link becuase of the outcome. I basically wanted to know if the first link is better when shaving or is the second one better, I dont really know what the main difference is between the two in terms of shaving outcomes.

I would use the corded one to cut hair. I would use the cordless one to for beard and body trimming.

i've seen a video on youtube, and the first corded trimmer is used to detailer for facial hair like sideburns, it was also used to have a close shave on the face, not a clean shave, but close, but its a bit pricey for me, so just wondering if the second cordless trimmer would achive a similar outcome. I want to have something exactly the same as the corded one, but not as pricey, for a close shave and used as a detailer.

I am not a fan of any trimmer for facial shaving, I prefer the blade. I can't comment on the cordless one for shaving the face, but for "body work" it was worked nicely. A lot of control and power and a variety of attachements.

Those items you link to look like clippers to me; not trimmers. Trimmers have a narrower cutting section. I would not use a clipper on my face. Too hard to maneuver around the angles of jawline, cheekbones, etc. I use the Andis Slimline trimmer for my face (I don't shave in the traditional sense). I bought it a few years ago and it works great. Found it on a discount site for cheap (about $25 shipped if I recall correctly). Andis is a very well respected brand amongst stylists, barbers, etc. One friend is a stylist, uses this model and recommended it to me. Also, while my barber doesn't use this particular model he recommends Andis products in general.

can it be used to shave close to my face?

I have been using the Oster classic for my hair and face for some time, and love it. There are many stylists that use this brand as well, which helped in my decision.

I have the Andis Profesional T-Edjer 2 which I use for a shaver/ trimmer. I love it. It is recharable, so no messing with chords.
