Holy Crap.

I would love to see him repeat the form he showed at the US Open last year, but actually clinch it this time. What a great story it would be for golf, amidst the hubbub of Tiger's return.

Go Tom.

Some old guy, like Watson, always leads early and fades down the stretch. It happens in quite a few majors.

Fixed...

But I agree entirely, I'd love to see him win. That bogey on the 72nd last year was just... agonizing to watch.

I just think this is a much harder course for him to do it than Turnberry was. His age and experience, ability to handle rough weather and the links-style nuances of the course are no longer an asset. I see someone like Choi, Kim, Mickelson or Westwood winning...

I would so love to see an old guy like Watson win the green jacket this year. Anyone, really, other than Eldrick.

Would be so, so awesome to see Couples and Watson battling it out on Sunday.

As I type this , it's the 2nd half of the 3rd round on Saturday.

Lee Westwood is leading at 12 under.

Tiger is 7 back at 5 under. Anyone but him would be a long shot to catch Westwood. I don't think he'll do it but I must say Tiger has played better than expected.

Watson is 10 back and a very, very long shot at best to catch Westwood.

And in other news the National Enquirer is reporting that Tiger has convinced Elin that if can sleep with Joslyn James tonight, he can win this Masters. In a strange twist Elin Woods will be represented by Gloria Allred in negotiations over financial terms. Of course Ms. Allred already represents Ms. James.

Now it's Westwood, Mickelson, and Woods 1, 2, 3. Pretty damn good Masters!

I put it at Tiger even money to win.

Westwood at 7-5.

And Mickelson at 6-5.

Admittedly, win or lose, Tiger's return is impressive.

I've got to say, this has been a very exciting Masters so far.

It has.

I'm bored so I think I'll put a poll thread up.

Personally, I'd like to see a real long shot ( with any real shot of winning ) take it all.

I think Tiger is going to get it together and come back for the win and I'll vote that way.

As an athlete, Tiger ( like Barkley says ) is a once in a lifetime player ( like Michael Jordan ). And like Jordan, when he came back from retirement to win 3 more championships, or when he had an incredible playoff game while obviously sick, I think Tiger will make this a memorable tournament in an amazing career.

Remember, I hope a long shot wins, or in any event that Tiger does not. But I think he will do it.

PS: Here's the Masters Poll.
