It will just be thrown off IMO because there will be stacking on the sleeve. When I tried on an XS, the sleeve was about an inch or so too short for my arms and I'm 5'10''. At 5'2'', you're going to get quite a stacking effect on your arms.

I was told today by J Crew customer service that the British Millerain Oilcloth Field Jacket will be available online only.

Anybody have a chance to buy this yet? How is it? How's the fit?

Someone in this thread said he tried it on in store. Did they mention if it would come in any other colors (I'm hoping they bring it back in black)?

Hopefully, this helps someone wanting to know the measurements on the small in this piece:

Shoulder across the back from sleeve to sleeve: 22"
Chest P2P: 21"
Bottom: 20.5"
Sleeve from Shoulder: 26.5"
Length from base of collar: 29.5"

My measurements
Height: 5'6"
Chest: 40"
Waist: 31"
Neck: 15.5"
Sleeve from back: 33.5"

Everything fit great on this jacket except the length. The jacket felt and looked well constructed and the materials are nice for the price. I'm shipping it back tomorrow so if you have any other questions on measurements I'll check back before I tape up the box and send it off.

I've already sent it back so I can't give you anymore measurements. Hopefully this will help you decide. I did really like the jacket, but it went well past my ass and didn't like the look on me.

Yup, I saw that. Not bad. Looks like a cross between a Panther and a Brad.

Got this last spring. It fits great, pretty close to how it fits on the model (i.e., no riding down past the ass). I love wearing it. It's a great alternative to the fatigue jacket for when I want to look slightly less dressed down. Good number of pockets, inside and out, so it's great for carrying things while traveling. And it's slightly water-repellent, and it's warm, so it's a great choice for rainy fall days.

Hope you don't mind me posting this in the F/W discussion thread but could anyone tell me if the Jcrew madras shirts shrink much when washed? I have a couple shirts, with tags, and they're too big for me around the waist and in the sleeves. I don't have a problem getting the shirts tailored, but taking in the sleeves is going to be too much- might as well just sell them.
I know I could just try it, but then I can't resell them being new & with tags.

An answer would be greatly appreciated

There's a similar version this fall called the woodland but the preview pictures only show it in olive.

For anybody who's saw the Firmeans jacket, was it as thick/warm as the oilcloth field jacket or was it a thin/unlined spring weight?
