I think the 1 on the mannequin is the Khaki herringbone, the other image is the Charcoal. That's just what it looks like to me, I could very well be mistaken.

And of course that lovely Fair Isle sweater I can't wait to buy...

bought the fair isle today and wore it home - also picked up the selvedge chambray shirt which is very nice and a few sweaters

anyone who has a 20% off coupon they aren't going to use, I'd appreciate it.

How's the fit and quality on the halborn trench? I'm thinking about possibly picking that up for the winter, haven't found it in store though.

but i noticed his hand is his pocket seems to be holding back a lot of length... i need something short.. any help please?

I'm the same height as you. I don't know your other measurements, but my dress shirt size is a 15.5" neck and 33" sleeves. My chest is 40" (I've found that I need to size about a 38S or else the waist needs to be brought in and if I wear a 36S the upper arm area is too tight, but of course depends on the brand of jacket) My natural waist is 31-32, but wear 29-30 sized items in most. I chatted with their online help getting jacket lengths. Small is the lowest I can go because of my chest size so all of these lengths are for small or size 38.

Field mechanic's jacket: 30"

British Millerain oilcloth field jacket: 29.5" (I knew this because I had received one and returned it, but asked the length to make sure they were giving me proper lengths)

Barbour Sylkoil Bedale jacket (Size 38): 30"

Baracuta G9 Harrington Jacket (Size 38): 27.25"

Those are the only ones I asked about. I didn't ask about the woodland. I'm going to guess it's 30" from the back of the collar, but you can use the chat on their site and ask them yourself.

How does the fair isle fit?

The fit is pretty standard - I'm a 38 sportcoat/32 waist/15 neck and the medium is a comfy fit. You may want to size down if you want a tighter fit but I went with medium for the comfy fall sweater feel.


I was able to use the student discount on everything: chambray shirt, fair isle, a few sweaters, and some undershirts. This was a King of Prussia mall. I like that store more than the Chestnut St one for all the Philly people reading.

Wow, I'm surprised you tall guys can fit into this stuff. I guess I prefer my sleeves and body length to be longer on stuff. I'm 6'2 180 lbs. I wear a 16.5 collar and 34/35 arms.

I can't fit into anything less than a Large at J.Crew. I recently picked up some crew neck pocket tees (2 large-tall and one large) The large talls fit pretty good, the regular large is just about perfect, barely cutting it on the length. The Henleys I needed to size up to the XL because the Large was body and sleeves were too short.

There's no way I could fit into a small, let alone a medium.

Large-Talls are just about perfect for me. I like being able to wear my sleeves down and not having to roll them up because they are too short.

Just to update my previous comment, they are 3 months old. Ive worn them for 10-20 times. I also have hand rubbed a thin layer of mink oil on them. The picture is for you to judge.

Im hoping they keep fading as there going to get a ton of wear this fall.

Those look like a carbon copy of a Clarks' "Roar" but with a different sole.

They're both brown, that's really about it.

Did anybody else pick-up the woodland jacket and have an opinion on the fit/look of the jacket?

Is the jacket heavy enough to wear during the winter months (I live in Philadelphia)?

I haven't had time to get up to a store but I am thinking about placing an online order soon.

Just looking for some thoughts/opinions/pics before I go through with the purchase.
