I am thinking about buying a pair. Anyone have experience with their quality and construction?

Not a fan of those sneakers but quality is good. I have had 3 pairs of his shoes and they fill a nice niche which is missing from most shoemakers. Prices have gone up over the past couple of years so value has gone down. You can find some of his stuff at barneys. I got one pair from the paris store, one from a boutique in the east and one from barneys.

I bought my PH shoes from Barney's as well.

Those black and blue sneakers look good to me.

I bought a pair of PH suede chukkas and even at the steep discount price which I paid I don't feel they were worth it. Very poor materials. The sole is like a piece of plywood which quickly deteriorated at the toe, and they provide the least amount of grip I've ever experienced with a shoe of any sort. After a few slips I literally feared walking in them even on the driest days. Utter garbage. I see a current model which looks to be of the same quality is £252 on LVR. I wouldn't pay £2.50. The sneakers might be OK, but I wouldn't touch the brand again.

could you comment quality? post fit pics?

quality is good no complaints, maybe the leather laces seem a bit fragile

crepe nice and thick, gets dirty, suede is decent quality i think the shoes are made in portugal

I got mine on sale, as much as I like them they are not worth it at full pop. They're comfortable and I can walk stealth like a ninja.

There was a dark pic posted of our shoes in the elevator in waywt.

for the sneakers quality is ok.. and can be compared to any made in china shoes....material better than made in china.. but overall you buy for the design and aesthetic ...

thanks for bumping an ancient thread. ive owned several pairs now and have come to the same conclusion. the proprietary sole ph uses is garbage and wears pretty quickly, however the construction on their shoes is alright. the leather is never soft in my experience, but it breaks in nicely and holds its shape well for the type of shoe it is. definitely horrible value for the money at retail, at sale price its just alright, but as mentioned before you are definitely paying for the brand name. imho i like them because they are different and i think they do shoes nicely in the understated colorways, and i will continue to buy given i need a pair of hightops in my life.
