Are there any blu ray player that also can show hulu? They have netflix and pandora on many players but I'm hoping they also have one that shows hulu. Let me know if you guys know of any

A PS3, with PlayOn or other workarounds of hulu's blocking the stock Sony browser

Build an HTPC out of old computer parts + a couple new ones, such as Blu Ray optical drive andvideo card with HDMI out.

Or the PS3 workaround.

I believe Hulu is required by their content providers to not allow Hulu to be easily viewed on TV's, such as through PS3 and Blu Ray players, as it will hurt their market share of cable subscriptions etc.

Yeah, the other options aren't for me. I was seriously hoping it would be as easy as having it load netflix on the box automatically. But I guess not.

I would not get a hardware solution to stream web content because it may quickly become obsolete. Get a Mac Mini or something. From what I've read, you need a version of Windows somewhere to stream hulu to the actual player anyways.

Other options, while less powerful overall, for viewing Hulu or any other Hi Def video can save him up to $300 by going with the Acer Revo with the Atom 330 (dual core) or the more expandable ASRock Ion330 (has an optical drive but no built in OS and also comes in white).

Have you seen what a POS HULU is? To buy a box that specifically shows HULU or NETFLIX is a waste of money.
Buy HDMI cable for your laptop plug one end into laptop->another into TV and watch anything you want from the net.

I don't want to do that. I use netflix extensively but with DVDs. On top of that, occassionally I will screw up and forget to DVR something so it would be nice to have instant access to an episode on hulu. Those are my needs. I don't need or want a whole computer. Even the whole apple tv is too much of a stretch for me I guess. And I don't want to drag my laptop to plug it into my tv - heck sometimes I watch tv while using my computer. Maybe a PS3 is best but I am really not looking for something too convoluted to buy and set up so I guess I'll keep waiting.

I usually just wait till a season is over, BT it, then stream it to my PS3.

Here are a couple of Blue-ray makers working on deals to have Hulu broadcasted. I can't recall which one, though. BTW, Hulu watched through a laptop HDMI connection with 480p isn't half bad.

PS3 w/ PlayOn is rather easy to set up actually.
