^ yup, legs and back are largest muscle groups = largest release of testosterone = largest gains
post #62 of 74
Yeah squats and pullups rock.

Honestly bra, I partially blame my schedule being a student and all; means I don't get nearly enough time to sleep to recover and I'm still trying to get my diet in check. One thing at a time..

Even if you want to get big arms, you have to work the legs. They are the largest muscles and working them will trigger the largest testosterone boost in your body, which will benefit all muscles. Plenty of squats and dead lifts are need to put on muscle.

As long as you're eating lots of protein, it doesn't matter if its from a protein shake or meat, as long as you're getting the right amount of protein. It really is protein, protein, protein. As long as you eat enough you'll be good. The only thing you'll have to worry about is the constant farts and huge shits such a diet gives you.

sorry, protein is not protein. you are wrong.

someone whose intake is 100% whey isolate will have way shittier results than someone with a balanced intake. guaranteed.

I've got plenty of qualified nutritionists who can prove different.

I thought this was disproven.

yeah no such thing as different amino acid profiles between different sources of protein and that wouldn't have any effect on anything right? or, better yet, continue to get all your protein from whey and i'll continue to massacre cottage cheese, chicken, beef, and tuna like its nanking. then we can come back in a little while and we can

jesus, this place needs to be set up like ironaddicts.com. only people who have posted verified videos of their lifts and have results that can speak from experience are allowed to dole out advice. then we wouldn't have dickweeds shitting up threads with garbage like this.

I've read articles dismissing the test boost thing. That is not an anti-squat argument, just a misnomer.

I don't disagree that real food is probably better than a shake, but "way way shittier results" is probably an exaggeration.

Well, this is SF we're on, so I don't find it odd that the emphasis here is mostly on matters of sartorial significance.

Also, I call bullshit as well on protein is just protein.

Sorry Jarude, let me clarify, when I said protein is protein, I meant to say you don't shouldn't rely on one source of protein to bulk up i.e., ingesting a whey protein shake is not going to be the difference between someone bulking up and not bulking up, as long as they are ingesting the right amount of protein.

If you're saying you must have protein from meat and mix it with a shake to bulk up, that would be wrong.

If you'd still like to box though I'd be happy to do that.
