Wow, how did you watch a 90 minute movie in 1 minute?

I actually watched it as soon as it was released. I subscribed to his channel after Ep. 1. It's pretty crazy how he's gone viral. If I remember correctly, GQ covered his Ep. 2 review yesterday.

I somehow missed this entirely. I watched the Phantom Menace review and a few segments of AotC. Pretty funny and very insightful. Thanks for posting this.

I really have difficulty believing- judging by what I've seen in the reviews- that Clone Wars is worse than Phantom Menace.

that guy makes more sense than the movie itself.

The animated one? I saw it once, on cable, when I was bored. It's not necessarily worse than The Phantom Menace, but it's not much better. Granted, I'm one of those die-hard Phantom Menace haters: the kind who didn't soften up his opinions over time, the way of a lot of people seem to have done. The Phantom Menace is arguably the second-worst movie with which George Lucas has ever been associated (the worst being Indy 4). So for something to be worse than The Phantom Menace, it really has to advance the art of shittiness to new, previously undreamed-of heights. The Clone Wars didn't quite do that, exactly. It was aggressively mediocre, but not groundbreakingly so.

Great review -- for those too stupefied by the prequils to sit down and figure out why they were so painful and terrible in comparison, this is a great summary of the basics of effective story telling.

Although I'm only part way through the critique of Episode I, this commentary on "how not" to do a movie appears to be a good tool to teach people "how to" check for the "fundamentals" that should be in most scripts and story lines.

Worth watching.

I dunno. It's hard for me to sit through more than 5 minutes of a 50-minute, shot-by-shot "review" as narrated by Dr. Zoidberg. I'm sure it's fascinating, but the reviewer himself could learn a thing or two about editing.
