Cuba Travel?? How do??

What is the best way for a US citizen to travel to Cuba from NYC? I hear that one can buy a ticket in Mexico in USD from Mexicana Airlines? True? Asking for a friend!

Most Australians who visit Cuba via the US go through Jamaica to get there, if that is any help to you.

That was the other option(Caribbean.) But need to know how a US citizen would go about getting the flight w/o using a 3rd party...

Wow...What I am saying is that if someone flies to Mexico from NYC, CAN they buy a ticket with USD at the airport from Mexicana Airlines? On the website it says that a non US credit card is needed to purchase via the web. Can anyone confirm that cash will rule at the airport?

Why not through Canada? I know tons of people who have went to Cuba w/o hassle. Try expedia.ca or flightcentre.ca or air transat and they'll be happy to book all the legs of your trip (US --> Canada --> Cuba) and back

Simple answer is yes. But you don't want to get caught as a U.S. Citizen traveling to Cuba. Not sure how they would catch you but I'm sure it wouldn't be good if they did.

Also how do you get around the passport issue? You can use your passport to fly to Mexico but what do you use to get from Mexico to Cuba?

It's Cuba, grease some palms and I'm sure they can avoid stamping your passport.

I have heard that Cuba will not stamp US passports if you request.
