Heard a Jimmy Rushing song last night started something like "three years is three too long" with the chorus going "never has, never was, and never been in love with you".

Thanks gents!

Google the lyrics you know with the word "lyrics" Oh, and I believe there is actually an app for this that allows you to hum part of the song and it will do its best to recognize it.

It's named "Three Long Years". I believe the name of the album I've heard it on is Rushing Melodies or maybe Rushing lullabies. Something along those lines.

EDIT: If that's not enough info, I can probably call my father. He would definitely know.

If I can tack on here, I've been searching for a song for a while. Came out in the early nineties. Mostly instrumental, lots of sax, but made the Top 40 at one point. The only words spoken/sung were a group of people singing "Big Beat (Beep?), uh-hu, big beat, uh-huh"
It's certainly not a masterpiece, but I'd like to find out what it was.

I did but the lyrics I remembered weren't distinct enough.
