I'll be moving to Los Feliz in a week for work, and my job requires me to wear a suit every day. Can anyone recommend someone who will perform good alterations and dry cleaning in my new neighborhood? Sorry if I've missed a thread that answers the same questions -- only thing I found was from 2007 or '08. Thanks!

I've started going to Griffith Park Cleaners on Hyperion -- I've been happy with everything I've had done there, so far.

So the would-be Salt & Straw location in the Arts District is now an H. Lorenzo Archive shop. Which is cool, but I really wanted ice cream

Edit/Update: I stopped by on my lunch break. Pretty good selection of the usual suspects: Add D, Raf, some Junya, and the normal SZ styles. Everything is 50% off. Was told it is only a pop-up for 2 - 3 months, but may remain open longer depending on the traffic. If you are familiar with the H. Lorenzo Tent Sale, this is basically that but heavily edited so it's not as much of a shit show.
Fun fact: H. Lorenzo owns that entire building. So they will be looking for a permanent location.

On Robertson in WeHo? When people in LA say "Arts District" I tend to think either North Hollywood or the Brewery/Arts part of downtown.

Things you probably already know: if you are talking about ice cream, Al Gelato a bit south of there on Robertson is good, as is Sweet Rose Creamery east of there on Beverly.

Should have clarified - Arts District in DTLA near the breweries...on 3rd St (and Traction), pretty much facing opposite Apolis.

Sweet Rose <3

and when I heard 'arts district' I think of the angel city/wurskutchie/pie hole/etc area. and circling for parking for 20 minutes.

Salt and straw is some of the most overrated ice cream ever. If you like interesting flavors that's one thing but the ice cream texture/quality ain't worth a damn.

All these fuckin sheep man LA is turning into new york post soup nazi era. Now they got one on abbott kinney? Fuck man those motherfuckers are laughing all the way to the bank and can't say I'm not jealous.

Salt & Straw was pretty underwhelming the only time I went. I'll stay close to home and roll the dice on some listeria at Jeni's.

I don't know Jeni's, but if the "L" word is a joke, and you like the place, you probably want to edit your post. It could unknowingly cause harm due to future search results.
