if you wanna shop. Just go to southcoast plaza.
Mozza opened in Newport recently. The food scene there is getting a lot better.

Okay, sounds like a shithole. I won't get all excited about it then.

Is that the special pork? I was at a santouka in new jersey and they called it "melty pork" its unnaturally tender, i feel like im eating baby meat

yup, the special pork (aka toroniku chashu) is cheek meat. it's good, but they keep hard boiling my eggs and the shio tonkotsu is a little too salty for me. i wish they just made tonkotsu.

That's why you have his cell on speed dial, so he can save you how ever much you need and swing by whenever.

In case you guys didn't know, he's routinely around Chinatown on Friday and Saturday nights. There's some kinda food truck thing they do there.

Soon enough, though, he'll have his own place. His dream to have a place where he sells all kinds of different seafood. With that kind of demand, he won't run out of fish.

saw Phoenix / Metric there a year or two back. Great place.

So I went to Gilt City's free pre-screening of "the Vow", and I would say they are legit: free reception before the movie with good food/wine, as much as you want. Just recently got my name on the list for "Friends with Kids", I say you guys should check it out

I don't know another venue like the Bowl where your experience can vary as wildly depending on the show. Going to see a sold-out headliner isn't the same as bringing a picnic along to an orchestral night with fireworks.

How LA is it that a Bowl show is one of the few, if only, times an Angeleno actually packs a picnic basket.

Yeah well I was contemplating Brian Wilson and friends for about 10 minutes until I watched the grammy's clip. Probably just wait and catch a pops show or maybe animal collective depending on when I'm back out there.

I wouldn't hesitate if you've never been.

Yes, the weather, the artist, where you're sitting all can make a huge difference.

wait a minute, South Coast Plaza is right next to the airport. I might be able to swing by, although don't have much time. Is it worth going or are you just trolling poor ol DLester?
