As a Van. fan, the last team I want them to face is Detroit first round. Hopefully LA catches up or Nashville plummets. Those are much easier matchups for a 7 game series.

It really is a bit of wishful thinking, but they did have a great season based on not much more then good depth and team play, things that tend to help a lot in the playoffs. I don't think they'll win the cup, but it's worth keeping an eye on them.

People say that the caps are screwed in the playoffs because they don't have good D or Goalies(they're wrong), if you take that to it's logical extreme, the Coyotes should do well. (AKA, I don't pay much attention to the west)

Historically any team with a good goaltender can make it to the finals...so yes, the Yotes have a shot (beside the fact that they have 100+ points). The caps are not built for the playoffs imo...their goaltending is sketchy and their backline is an offensive version of my blueshirts...defensive liability.
