Surprisingly awesome. I expected it to be all zany antics with aliens and the hot bi dude from Doctor Who, but it had some of the darkest shit I've ever seen on TV. Y'all should check it out even if you're not fans of Doctor Who or Torchwood.

Only terrible people are not fans of either.

How is Torchwood? I love Doctor Who even with all its faults, but I've never tried Torchwood. From what I understand it's quite a bit different than this miniseries even though it has the same characters.

It's darker, and aimed at a more mature audience than Doctor Who. The two series sync together nicely at a few key points.

I just finished the first episode of Children of Earth, and it looks promising. Are all the episodes written by Russel T Davies? I find his Doctor Who episodes hit-or-miss.
