Any thoughts on Australia? If I wanted to get a work visa would it be difficult?

Do overseas charity work for a year. Try to find something that covers room and board, and preferably not in a heavy warzone. You'll meet more amounts of interesting people in that one year than you will working for 20.

Just go to europe with no plans, you'll have more fun that way. Australia is ok, not sure about visa's, live in melbourne or sydney.

Umm...don't think he is taking a year off because he is "tired" or doesn't want to work. I think its as simple as: I am young and I have no debt, so I can do something fun and interesting for a year.
