Taste/style: Alden, Church's, Crockett & Jones are primo w/ me. Suede, cordovan, but top grade calfskin will do. Shine my own, 'cause better than anyone else I've found. Side vents, working buttonholes, but of couse, and I suspect my jackets are, with a rare exception, two-button. French cuffs usually but not exclusivel; vintage, couble-sided links preferred. Over-the-calf is essentially mandatory, which makes Argyle and Fair Isle difficult to find. Have weakness for safari jackets (Orvis, Baretta, Willis & Geiger). Would love to know if anyone knows where I can locate a safari jacket shirt (shirt sans belt modeled after jacket, w/ upper and lower pockets. Cheers to all, Astaire.
