Hi Folks, I am looking for some expert advice to take with me to the tailor. I just picked up this suit... and I think the jacket still could use some alterations. However... I'm a TOTAL newbee in the suit department. I am thinking that a little waste suppression might be in order. The suit is a size 42 and I have a 33 inch waste. Please try to ignore the wrinkled shirt I'm wearing.

Thanks is advance!

Without seeing the back I think it looks pretty good and would leave it alone.

Everything looks good except the shoulders which look kinda bumpy and the "divots" on the upper sleeve. Maybe the tailor will know what to do to address these.

Thanks ramuman and Parker. I think some of the puffyness in the shoulders may be do to my wrinkly crumpled up puffy shirt underneath...

I assume Nikon put a self-timer on their camera?

Avoid these type of DIY shots from the wall mirror

I'll try that next time lee_44106. I was trying to capture a quick pic without my wife catching me. She makes fun of me enough already!

I just tried the jacket on with a t-shirt and it still is a little bumpy on my trapezius. Thanks again for the input!

tight across the shoulders, maybe your tailor can loosen up the back seam a hair.

+1 for overall pretty good, but more and better pictures would definitely help improve the feedback. I think the shoulders are a little wide as well, and those divoty along the top of your shoulder line indicate it clearly. otherwise, the body, length, button point, etc are all pretty good. sleeves may be a bit long, but your shirt is even longer (too long IMO) and maybe you're just doing it to show us all your "cuff" that may not really exist, which is fine. That (my) right side where the "skirt" is flairing out as soon as you raise your arm with the camera to take the pic might indicate the armholes are low, or the overall hip section is a little too big. I'm assuming it's a double vent so the whole jacket moves around a bit. Anyway, from what I can tell, it's an 8.5/10. Above average, looks good.

I find it impossible to make these judgments when arms are raised....

Better pics would help.
