I love this show. The first episode garnered it some pretty poor reviews, understandably. It's been getting better and better every episode. The last few have been amazing, can't wait to see all hell rain down in the last 2 episodes

Totally but seeing the recent plot all come together makes me realize just how well planned it was, including Asher's participation.

Asher is definitely more slithery though.

I'm suffering now because I watched the first 10 episodes over the course of 2 days and now I have to live week-to-week for the next one.

Also, I need some slaves a la Nevia and Mira in my life.

I have to admit that I really didn't like this show very much at all through the first 4 episodes or so.

It's recently become much better although I still detest all the CGI blood effects. It's very cartoonish with the foutaining sprays and heads going flying.

nope. 2nd season filming (which was supposed to start in march) is delayed indefinitely because Andy Whitflield (spartacus) got cancer of some sort. The prognosis is good but it'll be a while before we see a 2nd season, so apparently they're doing a mini-series as a prequel. I guess it'll keep the actors busy until the 2nd season can begin filming, and we can hopefully see some stuff like Crixus becoming champion or Varro's story, etc.

Yeah, I think the prequel will mainly consist of Crixus and how he became a gladiator and the champion of Capula.
