spartacus blood and sand

I thought this mini-series was going to be a total waste of time. I was wrong, it's starting to pickup and get good.

You're right, the first couple of episodes were a bit slow but the story gets much more interesting. It was very disappointing to see his wife sura die in his arms. Is it true the lead actor has cancer and they paused shooting?

+1 on the comments on the women of this mini-series. I can't help but be reminded of the old cartoon from a vintage Playboy, the essence of which was a couple having dinner at a swanky restaurant and the gentleman says - if memory serves - something like "Really? I've always thought that I missed my period, too. I'd have been a lot happier to have lived in ancient Rome."

one of my fave shows on right now.

Gratuitous nudity + gratuitous violence = win for the viewer

No one is safe on this show except for Spartacus.

Just finished the 1st season from Netflix streaming. Is there a 2nd one on right now? And yes, gratuituous nudity FTW! I've probably seen more tits watching this one season than all the tits I've ever seen on TV -- ever!

I guess your are not a world history major? Spartcus and few others will be safe for season one. They must save somebody for season 2.

Show is very entertaining. I missed a few episodes though so I am hoping they do a marathon towards the end of the season, maybe before the season finale.

Yes, because this show is the quintessence of historical accuracy.

It was just me giving the writers props for killing off main characters -- save Crixus for your historical reasons.
