If you want to check out a fun message board - and find out what strippers really think of their customers, check out http://www.stripperweb.com.

It's like SF for strippers.

P.S. It's probably not work safe
Dear Styleforum,

I hereby devote all my time to stripperweb.com . Less talk about sartorial interests, more talk about boobies.

Lets combine the two forums - it would be fun to discuss what and what not to wear when grinding your crotch in a customers face. What colours are in, what's out. Raw g-strings, or pre-distressed? If it's raw, should one size down or buy their true size? What to wear with tweed panties, and are they appropriate for any season other than fall?

I've been to exactly two strip clubs in my life and I've never had a lap dance. The first one I went to was when I was 20. I went with some people from my dorm and my gf, who had a thing for women's boobs and wanted to come see.

The second time was a couple years later in montreal. Two of my boarding school buddies bought me a lap dance from a girl that was actually very beautiful (didn't look like a typical stripper at all) and very sweet, but I turned it down. She thought I didn't like her, but I assured her that wasn't the case. Besides, I was just getting in to clothes at the time and I was wearing a brand new pair of Armani pants. I didn't want her to make a mess of them.

The truth of the matter is that strip clubs disgust me. Not just the people there, but the nasty ass cigarette smoke that permeates those places. I was just about ready to vomit from the smoke when she asked me to come with her. Instead of the dance I went outside for a breather.

Also going through my head was that I wasn't sure what my friends had paid for. There was another guy tied to a pole on-stage with a couple of women that were undressing him. The girl my friends had paid for was trying to bring me somewhere, and at the time I didn't realize they gave dances in private booths, so I was like "fuck that."

And you didn't marry her?

Regarding the whole stale cigarette thing, a real man learns to love it. After all, in the 30s pretty much the whole industrialized world smelled like that.

Good idea. As far as strip clubs go, I find them to be rather grotesque and cheesy, not to mention a poor investment that could have gone to feed my ever-growing liver. That isn't to say I haven't been to a few or haven't enojyed a few live shows in the living rooms at various parties. In my limited knowledge and experience, CR has the best strip bars around. I went about a year or two ago with a few cousins to a very notorious club in town. Cover charge was $5 and that included two beers. They had a small stage where you could watch a girl dance but as the night progressed, the girls upped the ante with some girl-on-girl action including all the accoutrements. "Public" lap dances went for around $2 and 5 min private dances went for around $14.

I WAS TOLD Seattle has the WORST!.. You pay 20 bucks for cover and get a free drink, then you get to enjoy the Strippers from 5 Feet away, guarded by a Steel rail.

Sucks..

Thank's to the Dirty South... I went to "Stokers" on Lean for my Cousins bachelor party. There were about 12 of us there. It was nice to see some nice sistaz.

Yeah, there really is no point in going to a Seattle strip club unless you just feel like throwing some money away. There will be no alcohol or smoking inside, the girls are pretty agressive with hitting you up for money, and most of them are about a 6-7 on a scale of 1-10...so you really won't want to stay long. Its sort of a bummer. Portland is much better.

Believe it or not, I'm totally with you on this. I've been to less than five stripclubs and find them disgusting and uninteresting.

I've never been a big strip club habitue, but I was in Portland last spring with a group of guys for a fantasy baseball draft weekend. We all ended up at a club one night - OMG, I fell in love with about a dozen girls. They were all gorgeous, waify, suicide-girl types with perfect, perky natural breasts and asses blessed by God. Plus there was no cover and no lap-dancing - just full-nudity stage dances. And the girls were mingling around the club between songs and seemed happy to hang out and chat without expecting more than a cocktail (normal prices) in return. It was bizarre to tell you the truth. I think the place was called Union Jacks or something like that and it seemed to be run by Russian mafia dudes.
