I too cannot wait for you to graduate, be unemployed and broke, realize that your life views are not in tune with reality, normalize, and enter the rest of the American adult population.

Apparently sarcasm detection fades with age.

Man. I will never again talk about my 'good old days' because yours are so much better.

No.
Mine are just older old days.

Those of you in the midwest should search your grocery/convenience stores for Genesee Bock beer. Just look for a jumping goat on a green background that looks like it came straight from the '70s (because it did). $6 for a 12 pack puts it in the 'ultra cheep' category, but it's got the highest taste/price ratio of any beer I've ever had. Much better than BLGW. It's a (spring) seasonal, so shouldn't be around too much longer.

Oh hell if you're gonna be like that and all.

Midwest has Miller Red too, which they stopped selling in California in what, '99?

Damn lucky bastards with your malty beers.

Find local brews that make high alcohol beers and drink that. I usually drink Unibroue beers, 8-9% alcohol, $12 for a 6 pack (this is Canada, a 24 of the cheapest beer is $24...) Spaten Optimator is a great choice to get drunk with, excellent beer...

no, you're not the only one

Trader Joes makes great beers, I reccomend the hefeweizen, its my favorite beer of all time and it makes other hefeweizens taste like ass.

Only read the first page, but the beer is a pretty solid effort. I'm not really one to drink wheat beer over others, but it does have a good taste that can appeal to a wide range of people. I think Budweiser did a really good job with their American Ale too, while not everybody will like it, especially beer snobs, it does have mass appeal. That all being said, I'd rather just drink a bud.

Asian beers are really drinkable and not very expensive. I'm surprised they weren't worse but I'm not surprised they're so light, fairly flavorless though but nicely carbonated.

The end.

I don't know about all this, I've had the Genesee Bock. I liked it, their cream ale is pretty good too. Down here in georgia though it's a tad expensive. That said, Genesee also makes Dundee which I've been buying craft packs of from my local Kroger for a while. 10.99 for a 12 pack really isn't that bad as far as I'm concerned. When money is really tight though, I typically go for Schlitz beer. It's the cheapest beer at Kroger for 7.69 a 12 pack and tastes much better than PBR (which is very dear to me) or almost any of the Budweiser products. Ah, the joys of being a poor college student.

Speaking of cheap beer and trader joes, I am rather fond of Oranjeboom which they sell in 6x16oz can packs for like $6-7...

natty light is the only beer around my school

Keystone Light was the only real college beer in my school. Get that Natty out of here.

That was my Modus Operendi in college... I had to drive town to Kentuckey to get my Grande Reserve because it was illegal in OH back then.
