So I have an interview with Jos A Bank coming up. I know the general feelings of the store here on SF, but it's a good opportunity to make more money than I currently am (I'm 21) and get some good sales experience (though I don't think I'd be willing to make a career in this sector).
My question is this, what should I wear? The way I see it, I only have two options. I own one suit, and it's black. By SF standards it doesn't fit me great, but for regular people I think it looks fine to them. My problem is this: I know most people here think black suits are unfashionable etc, and I don't want to look like I don't know anything (even if it's JAB).
My other option is to wear some nice slim/straight fit khakis from J. Crew, BB, or BR, with a checked dress shirt from Martin & Osa, a brown belt, watch, and either desert boots or brown dress shoes (possibly a tie, as well). Which do you folks think would be more appropriate for an interview with JAB? A suit (black, not a perfect fit) or go a little less formal (khakis, button down, dress shoes or DB's) and tell them I just don't have the wardrobe yet?
Thanks for the help!
P.S. If anyone has ever worked for JAB before, I'd really appreciate a PM because I have a few questions.
