sup,

ToJ is out of my price range. What's the best suede varsity jackets on the market (not a fan of big patches)? Searched around and didn't find any threads. Discuss.

yeah, but realistically i can only drop like 300 MAX. the new ToJ's, as nice as they are, are $525. I can't drop a month's rent right now on a jacket.

anyone got any other suggestions?

Buy a TOJ from the buy and sell on sufu or this forum? They are priced between 200-250ish usually.

Well at least there may be a head on your shoulders, despite what this forum may preach 500+ jackets aren't worth it for everyone. Living off ramen, but stashing 20,000 wardrobes isn't really baller. (That's an exaggeration. I doubt any SFers actually have this going on, but you get the illustration). Some of the better outfits posted here are from those who aren't dropping loads, but make up for it in a combo of taste and smart shopping. Try looking for used TOJ first runs suede on leather can look just as good as the classic wool/ leather combo. Be proactive and form a group buy again for centralia (seach old threads, ect) http://www.centraliaknittingmills.com/ I've seen 'designer' versions from supreme to whyred to wings & horns just spend time looking up options. Maybe a sufu search would be good too...

Haha. Dropping loads.

Thick as Thieves for the varsity jacket, although it's not suede and is much different from what you're currently looking at.

Just saw this. Your month's rent is $525?

$525 is high in Burma, but I bet that even robbie's rent is more than $525. My rent is twice that and I live in exactly one room plus a bathroom.

Gant makes a varsity that I've been drooling over. http://www.blackbirdballard.com/Gant...avy_16582.html It's sold out at Blackbird and I'm not sure where else you could find it.

Im kicking around the idea of moving to Paris. Not even a burner for boiling a kettle for cup ramen, at 1500 a month, it seems like.

My two-bedroom place is $435/month plus utilities. Pretty nice neighborhood, too. Not a bad single dude's apartment, either. I'll miss it.

Fuck, I pay more than double what some of you guys do, for a 1br, and "cheap" was near the top of my list of considerations. Though to be fair "location" was #1.
